Remembrance Run 2010

This past weekend, in Traverse City, I had the opportunity to be apart of the Remembrance Run benefiting The Women’s Cancer Fund.  This year I was asked to design their shirt as well as have a booth showcasing and selling my work. I could have spent the entire day there just talking with people and hearing their stories. No story was alike, yet all of them involved a courageous woman and the will to grow, live and survive. I was humbled as an artist to be apart of such an awesome day and even more by the stories shared so openly with me. I was also taken back by how moved and appreciative they were of the work that I had done and how so many took time to give me feedback. Overall, it was a huge success all the way around and I couldn’t have asked for a better day!
