Illustration Friday- Artificial

To quote the very wise Bill Cosby, “I brought you into this world- I can take you out!”  Funny then, so terribly profound and true as a mother, now. Who knew that those angelic little beings that he snuggled with in the hospital bed would ever throw tantrums, do something you asked them not to do, or worse, look at you after not listening — and smile! Surely, I didn’t have any inkling that my cooing, drooling little dolls would ever yell or not love everything I made them for dinner. Yet somehow moments like those arise and test even the most stoic and patient parent. They are moments that create gray hairs and inspire you to think of new and improved curse words. 🙂 Even the patient mother who had quiet, obedient little me made her own quote that we still laugh about…

Mom- Girls, do you know what happened to your brother when he did that?
Us- Mom, we don’t have a brother.
Mom- Not anymore you don’t!

Have a happy week!
